The Year in Review has always been the highlight of the conference. Renee Piechocki presented the history of YIR before introducing Fred Wilson and Helen Lessick, this year's curators. About 390 projects were submitted with only 40 being selected for the honor. People got very excited during this event, almost holding their breath, waiting to see if their project appears larger-than-life on the screen. If it did, you'd hear a gasp, a cheer or some applause. Once in a while a project generated applause and sometimes laughter from everyone. In the end there were bragging rights to be had and congratulations were abound.
